This year, the St. Jude’s ‘Miracle on the Bay’ Gala is set to pass the $1 million mark raised in the fight against childhood cancer. Be a part of the event by purchasing your tickets to the fundraising gala on Friday, November 17.
There are so many scary and sad things happening in the world that are out of our control, but there is something we can do right now: unite behind the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. The families St. Jude helps never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
St. Jude is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. They are working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent and won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. Plus, St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children.
Make this the perfect excuse to find a babysitter, get dressed up, and get out for a night of fun, all in the name of a good cause. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, a delicious dinner, silent and live auctions, and a performance by the ultimate dance band, Notorious.
